Is your child missing out on teamwork because they chose to do music lessons instead of sport??

Ever wondered if your child was missing out on teamwork because they chose to do music lessons instead of sports??

So many of us picture music lessons as 1:1 sessions, where a student goes and learns a new skill or song, then practices at home by themselves, and maybe gets the chance to perform a solo at the end of the year.

Kind of lonely right??

We thought the same thing.

That is why we are huge advocators for music lessons that take the benefits of independant learning and put them in a group setting!

Here are 3 elements of teamwork that students experience when their music classes are in groups with other students:

SUPPORT

When students are in a group setting, they get the chance to not only show each other support but also receive support from someone who's not their teacher.

Most of the time, support from your peers is x10 more powerful than support from a teacher, which results in a new level of motivation that they couldn't have gotten in a 1:1 lesson.

RESPECT

Learning respect is such a crucial part of life!

We love that even if students are at different levels, they learn how important it is to respect that everyone is at different stages of their musical journey.

FUN

There's no doubting that kids love hanging out with other kids! Having a social element to the classes creates bonds tied by a love of music, what more could you want right?

We would love to know what part of teamwork stands out to you as the most important? Comment what you think below!
